Recently, a friend passed on some comments from a dear Christian believer who expressed her thoughts on the theme of God’s Covenant with man. Her understanding was expressed like this:

“The covenant that God made with man was not to continually bring to the world more messengers, but to bring a relationship between Him and his creation. The bible makes it clear that the purpose of God is not to continue to send messengers to correct God’s people. He has already completed the work, in Jesus’ life and death, and he is the way to God. He said this himself:”

“I am the way, the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father but through me.” (John 14:6)

The following are some of my own personal thoughts on the subject, based on my very limited understanding of the Bahá’í Faith and of the Bible.
