January 2006

Hi everyone. A new addition to the blogroll is Zeb Land. Shirin’s joined the blogging community and somehow I have a feeling that she’ll be a lot better about keeping hers updated than I have been. (For really good excuses why I haven’t kept up, read Ryan’s blog and pretend that my life involves as much intrigue as his.)

Without further ado…

You can also grab the whole list in OPML format so you can add these to your own newsreader (I recommend Newsgator).

Check out this interesting blog entry predicting that Google will release an office suite and desktop operating system in 2006. The most compelling part of the argument is the idea that Google would offer a portion of its profits from the AdSense program to computer manufacturers.

Add one more to the “I wish I had thought of that” list.

Last year, my family and I had a chance to visit Turkey and while we were there, we had the privilege of coming across a musician named Tarik Menguc (forgive me for ignoring the accent marks–I’m too lazy to put them in right now). Anyway, his single, Saksuka (pronounced shok-shoo-ka), was top of the charts while we were there and we all fell in love with it. Aside from the song itself (that has an addictive beat in an odd time signagure), the music video is incredible.

Well, after a LONG 15-month search to find the video online, I finally found it! You can check it out here. Enjoy!
